Above is a film magazine of Pirates Of The Caribbean, which has been published by Empire. On the front cover there is the main character of course which is Captain Jack Sparrow who is supposedly the protagonist of the film. As the main figure on the front cover of this magazine, we can see what the character looks like for the first time, the type of clothing he is wearing is a white shirt ripped slightly with a blue waist coat around it and then a belt to hold weapons. In his hand he is holding a gun, this is suggesting he could be the antagonist instead of the protagonist because of him holding a weapon but also the facial expression he has, he looks very serious and could have a dark side to him.
The text "Empire" is in a bright red, looking bold and clear so that the audience can tell which magazine it is because the text is behind Captain Jack Sparrow. Below the characters hand it says "Starring, Captain Jack's all new crew" this is a good bit of the text on the magazine because when the audience see this they are intrigued of who Jack's new crew will be and will be able to find out when reading the magazine. Most of the text is in a bright yellow which can be hard for readers to read because of where it is on the magazine, but it makes Captain Jack stand out a lot with this kind of text, which is good because the magazine is focusing on this character.
Empire is a big film magazine company and so they like to be competitive to other film magazines. Also on the front cover of this magazine, Empire are also advertising other films so that they magazine isn't only just about Pirates Of The Caribbean.
